Interview with Adam Bryant: Transparency in Leadership

In 2012, while CEO of Appirio, I had the opportunity to sit down with Adam Bryant, who was writing the New York Times' Corner Office column, to talk about our company culture and some of my personal philosophies on the topic. It was one of my favorite interviews from that time, and I was excited to hear that Adam had turned insights from all those CEO interviews over the years into a great book called Quick and Nimble: Lessons for CEOs on How to Create a Culture of Innovation. Definitely worth a read!

We kept in touch over the years, and Adam recently re-interviewed me for his monthly LinkedIn blog "The Art of Leading". We revisited some old topics (e.g. the importance of transparency in building culture) and tackled some new ones as well (e.g. advice and mistakes to avoid for early stage companies).
